We’re big fans of the IS-F here at TMRT, but we’re not so big on convertibles. So what do we think of Fox Marketing’s latest project, an IS-F-bodied IS Convertible?
It’s hot.
If this rendering is anything to go by, the melding of IS-F bodywork with the IS C’s two-door frame is a winning combo - and one that any sun-dried 40 year-old cougar would be proud to be seen in. We’re not entirely sold on that unsightly and oh-so-80s support arch, but the rest of the package looks pretty tough for a ‘vert.
The IS Convertible show car will be built by Artisan Performance (the same blokes that screwed together Fox Marketing’s last project) and the engine will supposedly be twin-turbocharged, although at this stage we don’t know whether it’ll use the 2.5 litre V6 from the IS 250 C, the 3.5 litre V6 of the IS 350 C or the big-daddy IS-F’s 5 litre V8.
We’re sure we’ll find out more as the car gets closer to its SEMA debut, so stay tuned.

Nothing really exciting here, just a bunch of small things have been added to the RX-8 in Japan like rain-sensing windshield wipers, auto-light system, and news colors... Yep... nothing amazing.
It seems that the UK is the only left place on earth where true petrol head still dictate Manufacturers release… Already our dear British friends had the pleasure to enjoy both the Evo FQ-300 and FQ-400, but they will now also have the possibility to choose an Dual Clutch SST Evo X boosted to 329hp… I mean come on guy this is not fair… Can you be kind enough to re-export them back to Japan ?
According to 370Z.com, Nissan is developing a plug-in hybrid version of its Nissan 370Z for the 2011 MY. Normally, we'd call this idle speculation, but the world is topsy-turvy these days, so we'll play along.
