Below is an awesome video of a couple of Nissan's street drifting in Japan. I love the bit in the wet where they are trying to extend the drift on the straight. The sparks from the exhaust hitting the curb are also brilliant. Enjoy.
I know I know I basically forgot to update the build of my engine on this blog. But im posting the final result of my CA20DET build. Its all went together without a problem it started without a hitch after I had setup the new 750cc injectors and Z32 AFM on the Apexi PowerFC ECU. We did however noticed it didn't like to idle at all. So we checked the ignition timing which confirmed our suspicions that it was running way out of the standard 15degress BTDC. It proved to be quite difficult to setup the cams due to using an exhaust cam on the inlet side of the engine. The reason i used the exhaust cam was because it had slighlty higher lift and duration.

Its been a while since i last posted by progress on my CA18DET build, it has been coming along quite smoothly, the head was sent away to a local engineering company to get the head refaced just to make sure everything is flat in anticipation for the metal head gasket. Once the head was back i started lapping in the valves.

My Nissan 200sx S13 has done me proud. Over 2 years, 300bhp and 120000 miles without a rebuild it has finally bitten the bullet and died. It managed todo 3 to 4 drift days and various sneeky roundabout trips, before giving up. However onward and upwards this little section of JapPower will host my engine rebuild project. This will be my first ever rebuild and im hoping to learn a few things and make a reliable 350-400hp CA18DET in the process.

In its most basic form, a wheel alignment consists of adjusting the angles of the wheels so that they are perpendicular to the ground and parallel to each other. The purpose of these adjustments is maximum tire life and a vehicle that tracks straight and true when driving along a straight and level road.
This article begins with information that any motorist should know; however, if you are interested in learning more about this topic, click on the underlined words for more detailed explanations of each term. We will cover various levels of detail with the deepest levels containing information that even a wheel alignment technician will find informative.
Wheel Alignment is often confused with Wheel Balancing. The two really have nothing to do with each other except for the fact that they affect ride and handling. If a wheel is out of balance, it will cause a vibration at highway speeds that can be felt in the steering wheel and/or the seat. If the alignment is out, it can cause excessive tire wear and steering or tracking problems.

Lexus is to announce a host of changes to its IS range at the Frankfurt motor show this week.
These revisions include a new F-Sport package for the IS 250 and 220d, as well as the addition of a limited-slip differential to the high-performance IS-F.
Although the engine and transmission of the IS-F are unchanged, Lexus claims that adding the new differential makes the car two seconds a lap quicker around the Fuji International Speedway, where its test drivers put it through its paces.
The new differential works by sending power to the rear wheel with the most grip, and Lexus says it gives the car much more traction as well as improving its stability in high-speed corners.

Nissan's GT-R test team has shown up at the 'Ring with a lightly camouflaged prototype that appears to be the upcoming SpecM edition. The SpecM has been dubbed as the most gentlemanly version of the GT-R, with a more compliant suspension set-up and more sumptuous interior tailoring. Early reports tell us that SpecM GT-Rs can be highly personalized with specially-hued leathers and paint options. The graphic camo on the front and rear bumpers appears to hide some subtle visual revisions to the standard GT-R.
The GT-R SpecM is pegged for a debut at this Fall's Tokyo Motor Show.
